Going in to the final 3 games of the season the 1stXI were still not sure of avoiding relegation and with all 3 on paper tricky looking matches against teams at the top end of the table, we were also potentially relying on other results.

Twelve years after making the last century by a Lostock player on our old ground on Lostock Lane (when he made 127 for the 1stXI against Astley & Tyldesley in the old Bolton Association), Danny Cockton became the first player to notch up a century on the new ground in the course of making 121 against Little Lever for the 2ndXI in August.

August turned out to be a pretty disastrous month for the 1stXI with 3 defeats and an abandoned game to show for their 4 scheduled games which threw us back into the relegation mix - particularly since one of the defeats was against fellow strugglers Eagley.

There was a reversal in fortunes in July as the 1st XI managed just one win in 5 games whilst the 2nds in contrast won 4 of the 5 they managed to play.

After a hectic start to the season things calmed down a little in June with both sides scheduled to play just 4 games in June, and both were to lose one of those to the weather and end up with just the 3 played.
